The manila grand opera is an amazing establishment and the staff were very caring with us, we arrived in a rainfall seasons they where always running after us with umbrella to get in taxis which we didn't expect, that was so thoughful. we did had an amazing late night in the karaoke - the waiter was an amazing young gentleman and clapped for us and sing with us (we asked him to.) great time. the security was also on point. we had some convenience shops nearby which really helped too. despite not being in the best area of Manilla - we never felt insecure even outside of the hotel at day/night.

Nice big lobby, rooms are very clean, staff are friendly, strong wifi, swimming pool, free parking and their restaurant serves simple yet delicious dishes. If you're in search of a hotel (which by the way has a casino too) that's right in the heart of Old Manila, near Quiapo, Chinatown or Intramuros, then I highly recommend this place. But if you are looking for a high-end, classy area with high-rise buildings, parks, fine dining, huge shopping malls, etc. then you'll be at the wrong place! We stayed there primarily to revisit the iconic places of Old Manila, mostly are within walking distance.

It took about 1hr from the airport by taxi due to heavy traffic jam but the hotel is very close to Recto station on Light Rail Transit (LRT-2). The hotel currently does not provide airport shuttle bus but catching taxi by Grab app at the airport was not an issue. Near the hotel, there is convenience store (Seven eleven) in front of the hotel and donut shop (Mister Donut) is next to the hotel, and in walking distance there were places to eat so it was very convenient. The breakfast buffet had variety of selections and it was tasty. Also, the food at the restaurant at the hotel was tasty too.

Great Location, but Hotel Needs Improvement The best thing about this hotel is its location—close to everything you need, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. However, the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms are outdated, cleanliness could be better, and the amenities are quite basic. If you’re looking for convenience and don’t mind sacrificing comfort, this place works for a short stay. Otherwise, you might want to explore other options.

Great staff, always super friendly and helpful. organised us taxis etc to make sure we get a good price. Location is great as well. it’s not the typical place where tourists go, we didn’t see any other tourists besides us. But we loved it! Two 7eleven and a supermarket right next to the Hotel, Divisoria Market in walking distance. It’s the old part of Manila, so it will look a bit run down but we loved to experience the actual Manila like locals do
